Meet the youngest APC delegate from Lagos

The much-awaited special convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will hold between Monday and Wednesday, as 2,332 delegates from across the country are expected to converge at Eagle Square in Abuja to choose their presidential flagbearer for the 2023 polls.

Like their counterparts from other states of the federation, 60 delegates from Lagos have also arrived in the nation’s capital — the youngest of them being Owolabi Jamiu Falana.

Falana took to his Facebook page on Sunday to celebrate himself as the “youngest APC national delegate from Lagos”, describing it as a “great honour”.

He also urged Nigerian youths to get fully involved in active politics.

“It is a great honour to be the YOUNGEST APC National delegate from Lagos State. I consider it a privilege to play this significant role on the journey to the 2023 Presidency,” the post read in part.

“While I reflect on the import of this humbling duty, I wish to use this medium to encourage the Youths, especially Millennials to transform from just being armchair critics to getting FULLY INVOLVED. By so doing, we would be doing the most altruistic duty as citizens.”

Falana, a young politician and entrepreneur, ran for the office of the National Youth Leader of the APC. He, however, withdrew from the race to support Dayo Israel who currently holds the position.
